The Foundation

CLOSE
THE
DISTANCE.

Mr. 6 Foundation exists to connect people the distance keeps apart: a founder in a city no fund visits, an investor on another continent, a builder solving the same problem in another language. And to do it at the speed the technology is moving.

Nobody is at fault for the gap. Introductions run on networks, networks form where people already are, and everyone outside them waits. What has changed is the cost of waiting: an AI cycle does not give anyone three years to be found.

The method is deliberately unglamorous. Volunteers tell us who is being left out of the room inside their own communities. Each month we put some of them together as a cohort of startups, investors and AI builders, and publish the whole cohort openly, the way a journal publishes an issue rather than the way an incubator holds a closed room.

One measure of success:
how many people found each other.

FIND WHO IS
BEING LEFT OUT.
PUT THEM IN THE ROOM.
LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN.

We don't pick winners, we don't invest, we don't rank, and we take no equity, carry or success fee from anyone in a cohort. We are small, and we intend to be a working part of the AI venture ecosystem rather than a commentator on it. Nothing we publish sits behind a login, a membership or a paywall. The entire point is that it travels.

What we believe

01

Openness

Access to networks, ideas and capital should get more open over time, not less.

02

Exchange

Cross-cultural rooms produce things that homogeneous rooms cannot.

03

Humility

Everybody has blind spots, us very much included. That's the working assumption.

The programme

MISS 100

Twelve open cohorts through 2027, starting in Vancouver.

MISS is how the Foundation works in public: every month a cohort of startups, investors and AI builders who should already have met, put together on purpose and published as one open issue that stays free to read.

Independence

NOTHING HERE
IS FOR SALE.

Mr. 6 Foundation is a non-profit society registered under the British Columbia Societies Act. It exists to make connections and publish them, and it is built so that nobody can buy their way into one.

A place in a cohort cannot be bought, and neither can an entry in the record, a mention, or a kind word. There is no application fee, no listing fee and no membership. Everything we publish is free to read, by anyone, permanently.

We are also not a registered charity, so we cannot issue tax receipts for donations. We would rather say that plainly than have you find out later.

The rules we hold ourselves to, in public:

We take no equity, carry or success fee.
A place in a cohort is never for sale.
Sponsors never influence selection.
Connectors are never a sales list.
The record stays free, and stays up.

Selection is made by people, not by who paid, who asked loudest, or who already had a relationship with us. If an introduction is worth making, it gets made whether or not anyone involved can ever do anything for us.

Support & partnership

PARTNERS SUPPORT
DISCOVERY.
THEY DO NOT BUY IT.

Companies, universities, professional firms, banks, law and accounting practices, industry associations, community organisations and individuals can support MISS 100: the cohorts, the open record, and the connectors who make it possible.

Sponsorship never buys a place in a cohort and never influences one. If that is the arrangement you're after, we're the wrong people, cheerfully so.

We are not a registered charity.
Support is a sponsorship, not a donation receipt.
